My upper cable for my speedometer broke on my 87 gn.I have digital dash. My question is,are there any diffrence in the upper cable for digital and analog also how hard are they to change, and are there any tricks to making the job easier

I can't say for 100% positive on the digital .vs analog thing but when you get a cable, get a 1 piece unit. It'll be so much easier to swap and look cleaner.

On my car the two pieces were literally fused together. When I took the cable out I tried to get them apart now that I didn't have to worry about my paint.... still wouldn't budge. My speedo needle still looks weird to me now that it's not jumping and twitching. (my scammaster and CC are a lot smoother too)

Go to napas website
I replaced mine on my digital dash
It's a one piece unit vs the stock two piece

Had a few cuts on my knuckles and a few swear words here and there
But you can do it

Yeah, that's the problem with my speedometer cable, Earl.....mine seems to be fused together also...still can't get them apart.

Do you have a source and part number of the one piece cable available, Earl? I would sure appreciate it. I take your suggestions as gold and never have questioned your expertise in these cars.
