went out to my car and when its cold i braked torqued it and it spooled to 14# at 2100 rpm it would have gone more but didnt want to push it. surprised my vaccum brakes held. anyway when its hot i get 3# at 1556 rpm its says d-6 on it and its blue. could this be a tuning issue my blm's were 119or is it a passenger exhaust leak my ds was changed want to change it to a 3000 stall but if this is a 2800 i want to leave it

 Sorry but if your rear brakes are stock no way in this world you had 14# and the tires were not up in smoke!!
No way no way, I have a 2800 stall in my car with a hemco and damn if I get 7-8lbs (with soft shoes and s10 wheel cyl.) and the tires are up in smoke  Now thats in my garage and with Nitto radials with slicks at the track I have seen 10-12 on line after a burn out :D

I think you may have a gauge problem???

I was actually able to build more boost without breaking my tires loose w/ the stock converter than w/ my 3200. I saw up to around 12 or so w/ the stock converter. Now I am spinning before I see that. He also mentioned that he has vacuum brakes which some people say help a great deal.

I believe that the d6 is a lower stall that was used in monty's and such. the stock converter is supposed to be a d5. Also, you would have hit your stall or close to it well before 14 lbs of boost so I would say that it is a very low stall.

no i dont have a gauge problem and yes it was 14# and would have still climbed but didnt want to break anything i do have soft shoes

can anyone answer my problem of why it does this cold and changes after it is warmed up???????????????????????????

It could be the heat - especially if you have other issues and are on the edge of spooling. I went to the track 2 weeks ago when the air tmep was 87* and the track temp 117* - it took me almost 8 seconds to build 12# of boost. I went last night when the air temp was 70* and the track temp 76* - it took me less than 2 seconds to build 14# of boost.
