Apparently, there is.
Years ago I found this stuff. Alsa Corp | ChromeFX: Product Information-Our Chrome FX can produce a real METALLIC FINISH on any surface
I was going to use it but got rid the car that needed chrome. I remember a really fast mid 60's Impala SS that had fiberglass bumpers that were spray on chromed and looked great.
good find, very curious how that looks in person. Having just had all my aluminum trim chromed, and stainless polished. This would have been a great alternative/option.
The trim is VERY brittle w/ the chrome plating, not sure how it's gonna hold up. Spent way more money than I should have...
Really, all the information I could find seemed mysterious. Seems to me, if this stuff worked, it would be like common knowledge.
When you say you had trim chromed, did you have the aluminum trim around the windshield chromed? I've excercised my mind about having those pieces chromed, but between *******s who chrome, and their prices, I'll probably never make the first move towards doing it.
ok 2 links posted,am i the olnt retard that is wondering how to purchase this....show me a link to buy
My car is a limited, and has all the trim. If it was aluminum it was chromed, if it was stainless, it was polished to a chrome luster. spent over $4,000 to have this done, always wanted to do that.
I'm still assembling stuff, I have some pics in the restoration forum section.
It looks awesome, the original anodized trim was turning white, and looked like $hit...going as far as I did w/ the paint, I wanted the trim to look as good.....I always wondered if anyone else has done this? can't believe I'm the first, if so maybe thats a bad thing
