Well first season opened up Monday and today is the last day. I decided to go out this morning as I needed a little stress relief. As a bonus my wife came along to video tape. We were not able to get the bird on film but it was still great to have him answering the call so well and come strutting in.

Nice bird, good to see other Buick guys enjoy hunting.
Is that an Eastern bird?
We killed 4 Rios opening weekend in Meridian, TX. Going again this weekend in Llano, TX and heading up to Missouri for opening week in May.
Needless to say I enjoy hunting as well as racing, drawback is the two interfere with each other!
Here are two Jakes my nephew and I shot at the same time:

is that your house in the backround chadly?

My neighbors house is in the background.

This is just your normal Iowa bird. Nothing real special. I did'nt even measure his beard or spurs. We had lots of birds around us this morning and we saw several fly down from roost. I'm going to try to get out for the forth season and take my nephew with.

Nice looking Jake's!
