Ok guys I decided to jump ship and do a 5.3 turbo ls. I have some really nice parts that I have been rounding up on the stage 2 build.
Ok the block.
Its a 153 with cross bolted mains. Block is a virgin unused block that was a spare for a guy doing land speed stuff that he never used. I had Bobby at rpe look at and he said the machine work is very nice.
Bore is 3.960 standard , it has cam bearings installed and the mains are standard and is machined. It also has bronze bushed lifter bores that are .874 which I believe Bobby said is small block ford size. It is a standard deck, but it will need to be deck 20 thousands cause it has a receiver grove in it which is 20 thousands deep. Bobby called it a fire ring. I believe it was machined in the block for high boost. A simple decking of the block will remove the grove. Bobby also mentioned it was also machined in the front of the block for a gear drive not to sure on what he meant on that since im not familar with buick engines, But he said you can use a standard style timing chain if i wanted. Like I said this block has never been used. I am asking 1500 for this block it has alot of money in maching and its never been used.
Now on to the heads I had a machine shop look these over and here are the specs on them. 245 cc intake runner size , 46 cc combustion chambers , 2.10 titanium intake valves, 1.625 titanium exhaust valves , titanium retainers , 1.625 roller springs good for .750 lift. I have more detailed info on heads like cross section, radius etc. These heads are fully ported nicely. Heads have Howe stamped into the front of them. The intake is a single 4 barrel intake manifold that is also ported it just needs to be converted for fuel injection. Also have t&d rockers some rockers need to be rebuilt which is around 20 bucks a rocker from t&d not sure on the ratio but they came with the heads I will also include a set of of valve covers that I have. I am asking 1000 for heads , intake , rockers and valve covers. On to the headers they are stainless single turbo headers that have a crossover pipe I will also include a 3 inch down pipe and a heater box kidney plate from atr. Headers will need band clamps as I dont have them. 500 for headers with down pipe. I prefer not to ship the block but will as a last resort. All prices on other stuff besides block include shipping in the lower 48 states. I have some pictures of the stuff on my phone I could post but will have better pictures later on.
