I just started my new motor today! I 75lbs of oil pressure on start up ,when will the pressure start to come down ? I let the car run till the coolant was 160 the pressure stayed 75lb. The car also has a big oil cooler

Take it out and drive it. You have to get the oil hot.

Cant really drive it yet! It runs rough and backfires at the touch of the throttle

Check your plug wires and cam sensor.

I checked the cam sensor !i even changed it a couple times,the wires have been checked ! Things ive checked maf,fuel pressure40psi line off,vaccuum hoses,Iac20-50 ,tps44 wot4.68. coil pack 2 years old?

Check the grounds at the back of the head. I have seen them twist and break off.

went down the street it ran terrible! I noticed the fuel gage went to full then back down to 1/4 ! could that be aground problem?

I got it going!!!!!!!!!!! The plug wire(magnecore)was broke inside the boot.Man what a relief i just had to step back and take break after a 3day thrash putting this motor inthe car

I went thru the grounds on the engine they are good and clean now!
