First off props to Julio at Alkycontrol for putting out such a kickass kit!
After looking at many different brands I decided on Alkycontrol thanks to the great feedback on this forum.
I have a 1985 Merkur Xr4ti automatic. For those who don't know it has the same 2.3 turbo that is in the 84-86 Mustang SVO. Stock boost on the auto was a pitiful 10psi and stock base timing was 10*btdc.
I could not believe how much timing and boost I was able to run on straight methanol with no knock. I ended up with 17* base timing and 19psi of boost, everything else bone stock.
A stock manual Merkur had 15psi of boost and a bigger cam and trapped 88mph in the 1/4 mile. I still have the small cam(no airflow after 4000rpm) and ****ty C3 3 speed auto and I pulled on my buddies 2002 Audi tt with the base 185hp 1.8t which traps 90 in the 1/4.
I know this is not impressive for you turbo regal guys but that is pretty good for a basically bone stock auto Merk. I am officially an ALCOHOLIC!!
Julio, I will be giving you a call soon to order the stainless lines. I have been using rubber hose for now. Thanks!!

I bet that is one fun little merk! Congrats on going with Julios system, IMO, it should be one of the first mods on anything forced induction.;) Have a friend at work with a Mazda Speed3 and as soon as he has payed off his cat-back and intercooler upgrade, we'll be measuring up for the lines and ordering a kit from Julio for it:D

And BTW, I had an '87 Iroc convertible and it only trapped 78mph when it was stock!

Welcome to the site.. thanks for the business..

Yes.. call me to get the proper hoses. That pump can make in excess of 200 PSI.. thats a low of pressure for rubber hose.

Sure is fun right now. My goal is mid 13s with the auto till it blows. I have one question I have been meaning to ask for a while. What does methanol injection do to spark plugs. I would imagine that it keeps the plugs relatively clean(as mine do look after injecting) and basically render tuning by spark plug color useless. Only and issue until I get a wideband but I am still curious. Thanks

When you read plugs you are also looking for any specs as this would show detonation.

HTH

Yea, I have checked for aluminum specs after a hard run, none at all. I guess as long as there is no det. then who cares about color.
