I am still looking forward to warmer weather so i can paint the car. I am painting it diamond white with 10% blue pearl. this is a three stage paint job. here are some pic of the biginning process.

Man that brings back bad memories of my own paint/body. It sturned out great however. Looks like you know what your doing. How hard it is to paint a pearl?

I know exactly what you are saying. We are only prepping the car in its current location. the plan is to use my friend paint boot and paint all the part off the car and then install them. I know its alot of work. I know i am been a pain in the a$$ with this project, but it HAS to come out perfect. so right i want to make sure the car is perfectly stright. If you also look at the doors you will notice the door handles are missing.I am also waiting for the GNX vent to show up in the mail. the spraying is been done by another friend with 20 yrs of PPG paint skill. i am now considing placing the car in show after running a few 9 second pass in the 1/4.


Oh believe me i am not praying...only the skill few are putting they hands on this ride or should i say Toy...

to answer your question about the pearl is where it involve a three stage. once the car is at its final prepping stage 4 layer of diamond white is apple, the peral is then apply with a special clear for one coat (10%). the final stage is 4 layer clear. after wet sanding and buffing (polish) we will have to see the final product. I am really pay attention to the prepping stage. i think its the most complex and laboring stage.

the assembling stage we will have to use caution.
