Well i started to take the motor apart today for the rebuild. i started with the simple stuff, air intake, up down pipes, valve covers. when i got the valve covers off i noticed something that agravated me. I have about an 1/8th of an inch of play in all but 2 of my rockers. I am wondering how long this has been doing this b/c i wasnt getting any noise or anything. i also noticed that whoever had the car before me must not have wanted the valve covers on too tight b/c the bolts were on finger tight and that was it. and i could be wrong but isnt there a gasket that is supossed to go in between the head and the valve covers? just thought i would share my findings and i will keep yall informed on the rebuild it should be a fireball when shes done.
