So after many years and several set backs, and some relearning how to do many things I am finally getting close completing little projects so I can get onto the bigger picture. After picking many brains and getting a handle on things I am working on the car again.

A little back story here, I bought the car 8yrs ago, Thanx eBay, and thought I could read and put it together. Well I started on it, came together, ran but not like I wanted. Long story short its been together and apart a few times. I had an accident that I was in the hospital several months and then rehabbed for well over year. Then it was learning how to do things from a wheelchair. Strength and conditioning are a must, I so enjoyed working on cars as a stress relief for me. Now I have finally gotten to the point I am gonna make it happen, money is tight, but isn't it for us all? I have had to learn a new career, doesn't pay as well as the old one, but I am able to do something. Anyway sorry for babbling. Here are some pictures of the car and motor

It's an 85 Hot air car, original color was the Dark Blue Metallic, blue interior. It has T tops, and the g80 posi,
I has a broken header panel (my bad), I did it unloading from the trlr. Couldn't get the chair to move quick enough and it hit the lawn mower while unloading :(

I have the TA 1 piece dimpled wheels for it, and the original "finned" T type wheels.

Motor is 40 over block, heads are ported & polished, 3 angle valve job, cam was installed by po don't remember the specs,(head injury=crs), I worked on porting the intake, gasket matched to heads, (not sure it will help but can't hurt), speed daddy headers,(massaged into place) turbo- purchased from 85turbonut, injectors? Haven't purchased yet(money) but looking at 80lb, LT1 MAF and translator, 86/87 computer,

Goal- make car look good, have room for my chair, get to the grocery store in a hurry and look good doing it! Lol

I would like to finish the car in the gray metallic, with black trim as the one pictured,

Thanx for reading,

J

Few more pictures
The alternator I wire brushed and clear coated, I like the way it turned out
Tail lights I disassembled, cleaned, repainted the plastic trim, reassembled. The red lenses have scratches in them. Am gonna find an old tail light assembly and try using some rubbing compound to see if it will remove scratches and not hurt the light. Any other ideas?

Lookin good brotha! Btw, you can polish the taillight lenses with regular rubbing compound....be careful if you use an elec buffer...you can easily burn the edges...
