Stiff or softer rear shock for 60fts

What works better for getting the rear tires to plant...a stiffer or softer shock in the rear...or does it depend on the car and rear suspension setup...
the car is lowered and in the rear I have...stock posi...HR Parts bar...Metco lower CA's...Comp Eng drag shocks...Bell Tech springs...T/A rear end cover/girdle...

Yep...but I just put a new pair of slicks on...the old ones were over 2 years old and had at least 200 runs on them...probably way past their prime...the new slicks may solve my problem...just wondering whether shocks should be softer or stiffer in the rear...

EDIT: I didn't see you already had drag shocks.
