Still in Iraq

Thought we would be home by now but everything doesnt go as planned in the military. We got extended about a month ago to come down to Baghdad and try to clean this place up like we did up in Mosul so they sent the 172nd south for a few months. We have been hear 13 months now and hope to be home by christmas. Not bitter I have been in long enough to handle most setbacks just feel for my family and my soldiers families who we have seen for a total of 2 weeks in over a year. We are doing some good **** hear despite what you read and see on the news. Anyway just wanted to say hi only good thing about staying is more car money but I would give it back to be with my wife and kids. Remember support the troops despite of what you think. I feel for you. It would be nice if all the "TURDS" in the world would just shrivel up and die suddenly, and you could come home to your family.
