Stock 87 GN posi unit

Didn't see a forum in here specifically listing rears, so I thought this one was close enough.

I need to find out how many splines a stock 87 GN posi unit is.
This was the 8.5" "10 bolt" rear. I have an older rear with a series 2 carrier and 2:41 gears....buddy offered me this posi unit if it'll work. I just needed to do the research. The rear I'm trying to use has 28 spline axles.

I just replaced the 7 5/8 rearend in my Malibu with a '87 8.5 GN and it has 28 spline axles.
