My stock gauge was off by about -4 psi, I could hear the turbo spool and it would sneeze a little, yet the gauge was still reading zero. Got a Wastache gauge and quickly saw it was off by 4 psi.
But it doesn't look like you are overboosting much. If you were overboosting and detonating enough to cause it to cough and sputter some at high rpms, you'd see alot higher knock retard than 2.8 degrees. Double check all your plug wires and connections to the coils.
