Stock Headgasket thickness?

What is a stock headgasket compressed thickness? .040 or .060? Im going to be buying some RJC gaskets and wonder how much the compression ratio will change with these stainless steel gaskets.

I just installed the RJC gaskets. With about 10 thous off the heads & deck already to be nice & flat & the RJC at 40 thous I had to take 40 off the intake for it to line up perfectly so watch that when doing the installation.

Yes & some have done up to 45-48 thous with more off their heads & I could have gone 41-42 but 40 is working fine for me.
Ditch the end seals (too fat now) & a big bead of Right Stuff sill seal it up.
