Super easy and no special tools.

It was a while ago though, not sure if the kit is still available.

Found this, Bison says to have it balanced. I did not do that and it worked fine, but I didnt know what I was doing back then and just went for it.

Might be cheaper (and safer) to have him do it. I don't want to mislead you.

Stock turbo rebuild

Hey guys. Need a little help/guidance. I want to do the turbo rebuild in the "how to" section of these forums bu I'm having trouble finding what rebuild kit to get. Or if it's even worth rebuilding over getting an all new turbo. Anyway...what is the exact stock turbo in an 86 GN? Is it the GAR...

Bison's work is top shelf. However, Bison is in CT and the OP is in CA. Considering logistics and keeping things simple, I suggest contacting Limit Engineering. Limit does the turbo work for the stock 86-87 TB0348's and TA49's that Kirban's and some other vendors re-sell.
