Stock Turbo Questions...

I would like to know the specifications on a stock 86/87 Buick Regal turbo. I have to rebuild mine and will get with John Craig for a rebuild kit. My second question is my In-Laws have a neighbor with a 87 GN turbo, how could they identify it as being authentic (castings, markings or serial #'s)? I live over 4,000 miles from them so I can't check it out myself. The only reason I'm considering is because the Guy only wants like $40 for it. Thank you,
