i guess it depends how far they stretch the definition of "street racing", and if the accused has a chance to go thru the judicial process and actually get convicted of the crime before crushing the car.

Well I'm a true car guy as we all are and hate to see someone's stuff crushed...however, there were all crushed because of stolen engines and drivetrains. Really glad to see this happen, hopefully over time it'll deter people from stealing cars and parting them out. I'd hate to think of some a$$ hole driving around a car with my stolen engine and tranny in it...crush that car

Even though I'm not a fan of imports, the laws aren't going to discriminate against imports/domestics. Some of these street racing laws that are getting put on the books are subjective at best. Until the driver's have their day in court, they shouldn't be having their cars crushed.

Remember a couple of years ago they had a street racing bust. They couldn't catch them racing so they caught them in a parking lot posted no tresspassing. Turns out the cops had bought the signs and put them out a few hours before.
