Up for sale is my race built 200r4 transmission. I bought my car in 2007 and this transmission was freshly rebuilt in the car when i bought it. The trans oil has always been cooled by a BIG external B&M trans cooler mounted on the front of the car. I drove my car for a year (mostly street driving and about 8 passes at the track) and then the motor went. I took the motor and trans out and the car has not been used since. This trans has been sitting in my garage with a cover over it since. I was a college student and was broke, could not afford to rebuild the motor at the time so i had to let it sit.
The trans is a race prept 200r4 set up for a non locking converter. The trans was built to run in the 10's. My car went low 11's with this trans on a 1.59 60'. This trans is great for any 11.00 and slower car. I am selling the trans because my new motor setup is good for mid 9's and I am switching to either a th350 or th400.
According to FB's website, this is what the trans has:
-Full flow oil circulation
-Hi-Capacity Filter
-Maximum Torque and Thrust Capacity
-Recalibrated Valve Body (for firm shifts)
-Set up as “Non-lock-up" - standard or ("Lock-up" upon request)
-Significant Slippage Reduction
-300M Input Shaft & Welded Drum Assy (A $585 option)
-CNC machined high pressure regulator valve
-Heavy Duty 10-Vein Front Pump Assembly with Stainless rings
-Hi Performance Clutch Packs & Kevlar Band
-High Performance Shift kit
-The transmission also has a mechanical stage-rite trans brake installed by Century Transmission. The trans locks when you shift it into 1st gear and releases when you shift into 2nd. *** I NEVER USED THE TRANSBRAKE, but it definitely works perfectly.
-Also, the transmission has an Art Carr finned deep sump oil pan that holds an extra 2 quarts of oil.
The torque converter is a 9" non locker with anti-ballooning plates. On the torque converter is stamped "1037R-0218X FL082". I am not exactly sure of the stall rating on the trans, but i was hitting about 2600rpms with the foot brake+ebrake. You'd probably hit higher than that if you used the trans brake.
From FB, the trans is $2300 + the $585 Input shaft and drum welding option + the $200 Art Carr pan. I am not really sure who made the torque converter, but i would assume it costs in the neighborhood of $600 new.
I'm asking $1300 O/B/O LOCAL PICKUP ONLY for the Trans and Torque Converter. I do not want to split these up. I may be willing to drive to meet you depending on how far it is.
I am located in MANAHAWKIN,NJ 08050
PS: pictures show the rear trans mount attached to the trans, that will not be included.
