I jacked my car up on the passenger side Wednesday night. I left it on a jack stand. Put it back down last night after fixing my brakes. I was cleaning the windows after when I noticed a slight crack in the paint on the pillar next to the windshield. Could of jacking the car up caused this to happen? What products are out there to strenghthen these cars up? And where do i purchase them?

Nature of the beast...these cars have so much torque and the body twists
causing the cracks...I have 2 cars and both have small cracks...one has it near the small back window...the other at the corner of the roof and drivers door...best thing is to try to stiffen the body as much as possible...do the body bushings...cross braces behind rear seat...etc...not much else you can do...except stay out of the gas... ;)

Check the body mount at the bottom of the firewall behind toe kickpanel area. Also you way have rust inside the A pillar from improperly sealed windshield or trim. Voice of experience here

Dan, did you install all the braces on the frame and trunk?? It helps tremendously.

after you put all the braces on, then weld the crack and grind it flat...

I have a horizontal crack high up on the a pillar too (t-top car). I was wondering what it was because the carfax thing said it was never in an accident. So I'm guessing it's also a stress crack now. I do have all the bracing though.
