Anyone had a paint job done lately. I can do a lot of things but I'm clueless as to paint and body work. I need the GN stripped and painted. What am I looking at as far as cost. And no Maaco paint jobs. TIA.

I had mine painted last summer. No rust repair and I did all dis-assembly and re-assembly of bumpers, fillers, trim and glass. You're looking at $4,500-$5,000 for a quality job. High quality materials to do the job right will run $2,500-$3,000 alone.

Note that the word "quality" is used twice in association with the above numbers.

I had mine done last summer as well. I did some of the disassembly/re-assembly but the body guy did most. Paint materials (hecker-spies mostly) ran about $3500. Total including a little minor rust repair but not including a big ouchie on the drivers rear quarter was $9000. It turned out beautifully and made me feel good that the money was well-spent.
Please keep in mind that although this was not a frame-off, the interior, 1/4 glass, and doors were removed, all paint stripped and included jams as well. Very labor intensive overall. I'll try to attach a before and after. Good luck! :)
