If a NL tranny has a LU converter will it hurt the tranny?

I dont believe it will casue any damage,But it cant be done hte other way around,

Just went through this

About a month ago I assembled a trans for a friend. He told me he was using a N/L convertor. I installed a No Yo YO N/L valve. The convertor stays locked all the time. You can not drive the car. Every time you drop in gear it will kill the eng. Had to remove N/L valve and put his original lockup valve back in.

he lied,if the converter has a clutch thats what itll do with the tgo valve and a lockup disk in the converter,.
