I'd like to keep my stock tank Vs a fuel cell. Is there a kit available to convert my tank? It would need to have AN fittings that I could connect to an external pump. Thanks Larry

There are weld in sump kits available from places like Jegs or Summit. I believe Competition Engineering makes a pretty simple one for about $65.00. If memory serves they come with 2 3/8 pipe outlets that you can screw in your favorite A/N fitting to.
Probably want to buy a new tank for safety purposes or have a pro weld on your old tank.;)

Remember the stock tank has a plastic baffle in it. I have never sumped a stock one, for fear of melting the baffle (and the old gas fumes). I just go buy a new one from AutoZone for a carberated G-Body amd sell the stocker.

If you decide to weld on an old tank, wash it out w/ soap and water. When you get ready to weld, drop dry ice in it. That displaces the gas and oxygen fumes making it "safe" to weld. A friend did his this way and it worked out fine.

Later,

Steve.
