My brother in law comes down from out west to visit the wife and drives his turbo Solstice. He's telling my son how fast it is and takes him for a ride.
My son without breaking a smile says "you should go for a ride in dad's Regal, I think that 3.8 V-6 is pretty fast". Yea right.
Uncover it, back it out of the garage and he sees the turbo badge on the hood and says "Buick made a turbo"?
I say get in. We cruise easy for a few miles until I'm well out of town on a deserted two lane and come up on a very slow ratty pick-up. Evening air is cool and dry, I turn up the boost, prime the alky pull out and gas on it.
He says, "hey she runs pretty.......jeeeezuz don't kill me"! "Damn this thing is fast"!
I just laugh and let off at about 130, turn around and do it again.
He says "no way I could own a car this quick, my license couldn't handle it, too many tickets".
