It really isn't that difficult. I figured it out by just looking under the car, but I will give you a quick list.
1. Remove the Electrical connector located on the driver's? side.
2. Disconnect the linkage on that same side. I believe there is two cotter pins, and a C clip that holds the shifting linkage to the case.
3. Disconnect the TV Cable at the throttle body
4. Unbolt the TV cable from the transmission case with a 10mm, wiggle the cable out, and disconnect it from the hook.
5. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines.
6. Put a jack underneath the trans pan using 2x4s a bit longer than the length of the pan. Support the weight.
7. Unbolt the mounts at the rear of the trans
8. Remove the cross member.
9. Disconnect drive shaft at the rear end, then pull out from the transmission (use a yoke plug or expect A LOT of fluid drainage)
10. Unbolt the dust cover from the trans (near the front)
11. Using a 15mm? wrench, unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel and push the TC into the trans as far as it will go.
12. Now everything should be disconnected from the trans. (I may have missed something)
13. There are 6 bolts (9/16?) that hold the trans to the engine. Unbolt all six. This can be accomplished using a 2ft extension, a 6in extension, a swivel, and the appropriate socket.
14. Once these are all out, push the trans away from the engine enough to get it away from the pegs.
15. Lower the jack, and you are done.
To re-install.. It is the reverse. I have taken down my transmission twice in the pat 3-4 months. It really isn't difficult. So easy a 17 year old can do it!
