Switching to Type F fluid?

I was reading the Spring Cleanup article and going to change the filter and fluid. It suggests going to Type F and not to worry about adding to some left over Dexron III in the system. A tranny buddy said he would not suggest that, what have you guys done?

I used Type F for over 100,000 miles in my 700R4

Always worked fine for me. I always use Type F when I do shift kits too.

Thanks for the input. Now just to try and find the Fram tranny kit. Doesn't seem to be avalable anywhere locally for me.

I bought mine at Murrays Auto Discount..... but not sure if you have them locally.
