I am pretty excited. Got a call from Mike at T/A tonigt. My block assembly will be completed this week - the heads next week. He is to send me pictures of the of the assembly in progress and I will post them. Its been a while since my GN has run- 2 years. I can almost hear it now. In the interim, I have revamped the rear suspension, installed a spool with Ford brg ends with 33 spline axles, revised the roll bar , installed a new head liner and a Kidney plate. I will need to come up with a transmission and driveshaft. It has been trip. I am looking forward to receiving the next call-- "motor is in the mail" Arizona to Derby NY :D Larry

when will they be sending me mine?;) (i wish...) if only i had a ton of money... congrats and good luck.

Thanks Jeff- I wish it wasn't so,but- I do not have a ton of the green stuff. I saved for 2 years, sold everything I could off my car and plowed snow for extra $$. I am just another working stiff. :) If this thing breaks- I am toast! Larry

Good Show Larry! Let me know how and when you get it. Let me know about the DS! Does HR Parts have the motor mounts designed yet? Paul told me it would be sometime before they were ready? Sounds like they will mount just like the factory ones and without re-doing the cross member mount? Poly, I hope with the torque that monster will make! Keep in touch. Gene PS. Did you get the Turbo worked out?
Gene, I will be in touch with the DS. I have not looked over the next hill to see when the motor mount will be ready- I will e-mail Paul. I did not get the Turbo yet,but- after a phone call, I did receive an apology with an explanation. The Turbo is to be here very soon. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks Larry :)

anyone have any real numbers on performance of the block.
other than the 1500 hp rumour.
There has to be someone who ran some numbers with it.

The only "numbers" I know of on a TA alum block was the one Ken D. built. It had the new TA alum heads and a worked stock intake which developed ~1100 HP on his dyno. There are others being built and should be running in cars this spring.

We have just finished one using a stock crank and is being used in a "lightweight" project, not max HP.

Also, Paul [HR Parts] has an alum block he is using for developing the motor mounts which should be ready soon.

That block looks awesome. They realy spent the time and R&d
to make a excellent product.
It's great that you can run stock internals an build it as you go.
