I'm just wondering how many people have had this vacuum leak? The two seal in the picture are the seals use around the T/B shaft, one on each side (brass color). Had a bad vacuum leak and did all the checks clamps, hose, ect, but no luck. So I build a Boost leak tester and found that the leak was really bad, it was coming from the seal on the TPS side. The seals are like the seal used on front rotors, spring loaded. The funny thing is I had a spear T/B and it also had a leak at the gasket. Pictures may be hard to see.

Throttle body rotary shaft seal

I got mine from Harwal (harwal.com). Just punch in the ID, OD and thickness and they come up.

Unfortunately I think these are only rated to about 8 or 10 psi positive pressure or so but replacing mine got rid of the vacuum leak whine that was driving me nuts.

I wonder what others are using who run above 15 psi boost?

An easy fix.

Make sure you loctite the two butterfly screws to the shaft.

Thansk for the info. Found someone that port stock T/B and he said he as a few.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but does anyone know the part number to these gaskets? One of mine is missing altogether and its the last vacuum leak I have.

G- body now sell them. Here is a link.

GBodyParts.com Online

If this don't work just look under new parts for "Throttle Body Shaft Seals" and you will find them. I bet YOU, a lot of people have bad seals, I had 3 different stock TB and all of them had bad seal. Just over time I guess they go bad.
