T-Top question/repair issues

I was removing the grey plastic from the t-top and apparently the trim ring around the lock had become brittle and broke off. I cleaned and lubed the assembly but cannot figure out how to fix this lock. Do I have to yank the whole thing or is there some sort of fix? I did a search and cannot seem to find anything referencing this.
