i have both lexan and glass. I run the lexan on the car.

Agreed. The lexan tops also scratch and get micro-cracks very easily. Best bet is to go with glass tops if you can. My TTA came with glass tops. I bought some "galaxy glass" replacements for the cracked and squeaky lexan tops for my 91 GTA from corvettettops.com and they look amazing:
