Was just curious. I have always been a fan of T type buicks of all sorts, and would give up my daily driver in a minute, for a mint (it'd have to be mint and original though) Somerset, Skylark, or LeSabre T type.
I think its just that they take me back to when I was a kid. I had an outstanding time as a kid, and loved every part of the 80's. I think driving a car from your favorite period is sort of like a time machine in a way. To experience how they did it, back in that time, is a cool thing to me. I've always been a super curious person, and I think I'm really curious as to how they did things in the 80's. (among other timeframes as well)
I think they're curious little cars, and would love to have one. I don't demand a whole lot in a daily driver. But what I do demand, T type cars pretty much deliver everything I need in a car, plus good looks and styling.

Would any of you, give up your daily drivers (except of course, if it was a TR) for a mint 80's T-type, non regal car. Lemme hear it.

Hell no,I'm a pickup man.I would never give up my big pickemup truck as my dd.They only thing the 80s TType non Regal has over my truck is better gas mileage.
As far as comfort,safety,cupholders,airbags,v8 rumble, modern accessories my truck has them beat. But then again it should have them beat,I could buy about eight 80s TType non Regals for the cost of my truck.
I love my GNs but even they would drive me nuts as a dd.
GNs aren't very comfortable,no cup holders, the a/c sucks, the power windows are slow.Besides I hate leaving my GNs parked in public (out of my sight)for more than 5 minutes at a time.
I guess I am much more demanding than you when it comes to daily drivers.

i understand you there. trucks are utilitarian in purpose, and are physically irreplaceable in that aspect. but as far as gn's not being nice to drive? slow windows? thats an easy fix. no cup holders? well ya shouldnt be drinking something in a gn anyways lol. no, thats an easy fix too. theres modular cupholders out there. ya just gotta find them. And the air conditioning? Mine works fine. I'm sure all yours needs is a quick recharge. Fairly simple enough. Theres always a fix for everything. But I see your point though. Todays vehicles are really nice. especially these new trucks. cant replace a truck with a car.

Personally I think trucks are for posuers. If your job doesn't require the use of one than that big cup holder called a box is pretty much useless, aint it. I drove ElCaminos for many years. Now there's a truck. Great on mileage and all the comfort of a lazy boy recliner. Did I mention smooooooth ride? Quiet too. I also drove a hot air Riviera T-Type for many years. If the damn thing didn't rust out I'd still be driving it. Right now I'm working on another HA Riviera DD. You just dont see that body style anymore. I hate to be a belly button and see myself driving down the street every 5 seconds. The Somerset,Skylark and Skyhawk are typical little cars and ride like it. Not to mention they are slow. My personal preference is the G-body Regal. Now one of the guys I work with has a 96 Regal GS and it rides just as smoothly as the Riv. Maybe a little better. But it cant beat the old HA in a stop light grand prix. One thing is for sure. I dont need no stink'n cup holders.

yea, im trying to switch my daily driver for a 99 regal gs. great ride indeed. i love em. id really like a t somerset or skylark, in a dark colour, mint condition. but i know thats like trying to find a 5 legged dog. so ill just grab the gs instead.
