I rebuilt my first 200 4r, have done several 350/400's before, having shift issues which I believe to be t.v. pressure related. Vechicle actually drives but shifts very slow and sometimes hangs 3-4? I have a gauge tapped in above the shift linkage and get 80 psi in park/neutral/drive with an increase in reverse and both low 1&2 manual selection, 1/2 pressure higher than rev. pressure.
In park when I pull the t.v. cable without increasing engine speed there is no pressure increase, which I gather is not correct. Checked for cable bind, and actual t.v. valve movement with pan off, both seem O.K. I used the shift kit from Gil Younger and it had me remove a spring and install different springs in the t.v. setup in valve body.
I removed the valve body and replaced the shift kit springs with the stock setup, re-installed and still have the same pressure readings. My next step was to remove the trans and check the valves in the pump body. I also installed a larger boost valve (.500?) during the rebuild.
Can anyone suggest a certain valve I should check that would cause my problem? Any help would be great!
I also need to buy the CK book I have read about, guess I should have done that before the rebuild! Would the book shed some light on the problem?

O.K. thanks. Is that in the pump housing? My reverse pressure seems O.K. if that is what the reverse boost valve is for?
