TA 49 and Blue Tops

What is the most boost I can run with my Blue Tops with racwe fuel before I run out of injector?I have been running up to 22 pounds with no knock but do not want to go past their limit.In my signature I do have the alcohol injection but I have been running race gas and leave it turned off.It is so much easier to tune with race gas only.Bruce

You should be able to almost max out that turbo. Try turning the boost up in 1# increments, but I think you should not have any problems to 25psi at least

I got to tell ya mine ran out of fuel when I added the 49 and the CAS stock loc i/c. (prolly cause my car is 3950 in weight) Presently I am running the 009's for that extra bit of security.

Thats why you want to take it 1# at a time, but mid 11's should be OK

I would guess you could almost max out the turbo. Until you port the heads, or put on a Front mount or do something else to significantly increase the airflow, you should be OK by just giving it a little more Fuel Pressure, as required.

I ended up having the best performance with about 47 psi of Fuel at 23 psi of boost using a T108 chip.

Any knock greater than 1-2 degree could be disasterous running like this, so only use good gas and tune for zero knock.

I am going to add a V-4 intercooler next year.I think then I will be okay if I keep it at 21 psi or less.If not 009's will be in my future.Bruce
