ta 49 help

What will I have to mod to put this sucker on my car. I see that the inlet on the intake won't fit already. And the mounting spot on the bell isn't the same either. What to do? Anything else? thanks.

i think you have to just get a piece of silicone vacuum hose and clamp it on the turbo outlet and the intake adapter.. or maybe onto the intake itself..

You don't think the silacone tube will melt? Where can you get it at? I guess I'll have to make a bracket for the bolt on the turbo outlet because the ta49 doesn't seem to have it there.

you dont need that bolt, just double nut the two bolts on the exhaust side

THEY WILL COME LOOSE. mine always do

and no, silicone intercooler hose will not melt.. thats what its made for hell you might be able to use a rubber piece from home depot for like $4.00

Ok, awesome. Now, where can you get that silicone hose at? I want the good stuff. Thanks for the help and I can't wait to get this sucker on. It will be a blast (oh yeah, still need injectors).

good question, well, i would ASSume you would need a 2" to 3" silicone hose if you just clamp onto the turbo outlet and the intake inlet, if you use the turbo adapter i would say 2" to 2"..

id contact any 86/87 vendor, im sure they can hook you up. but hopefully someone else will chime in with a ta49

yeah, I guess I'll use the turbo adapter. that way I can use the same size diamater hose. Yeah, I was hoping that someone with a ta 49 would have chimed in here too.
