:confused: Just wondering they list the ta49 545 hp, what set up are they using for those numbers? I know that was net hp rating but if the ta49 is not that much bigger in size how did they get the 545?

thats just the maximum power when enough fuel(injector) is provided.
 
Oh ok thanks,I thought it was something like that, I was not sure. So it flows 800 cfm .
 
"X" turbo = "X" horsepower is impossible to state w/o stating each variable.


That hp number is just a wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwee bit overstated.



Those "turbo hp" numbers are like Big Foot, Elvis & UFO sightings.

Some people believe in them, even though few claim to ever seen them.
 
LMAO thanks . I am shooting for 11s with a good tune it should be close .We shall see.
 
That turbo will actually make more HP on a different car, like an EVO etc that revs to 9k and pushes 35psi.

That turbo lays down some mean TQ for us though with enough mods and it might make 550hp at the motor, hope to find out this Spring.
 
Yeah I am going to need Rick's help this spring for the perfect tune :biggrin:
 
That 2800 stall is what I am thinking this year with a full rebuild from Jimmy's .What stall is better for the 49. 2600-3000? Also what psi do you run on the street, do you change the psi when racing . Thanks

mine is a 2800 restall i run 25 psi all the time but run my timing at 23/21 on the street. when i am done racing i unplug my computer plug from battery to put the default timing back to 23/21 then crank her up a degree at a time when racing because of changes in weather
