Tach and Boost gauge

I have a 84 t-type. The tach and boost gauge (stock gauges) for some reason read very high, like 4000 rpm at 55 mph and about 5 lbs of boost and I know this is not the case. what can cause these gauges to act this way? btw they both started this at the same time.

im not to sure what could be causeing this but i would say go to the sticky "basic hot air info" under subjects at the top and take a print out of it out to your car and make sure all the vacume is hooked up and if so correctly especially the one that gos to the map sens good luck

i know exactly what you are saying i have the same problem with my 85 gn it reads 4000 rpm at 3000

What ever the problem is I don't think it's a vacuume leak, mine was leaking at the map/fuel pressure reg. I fixed it and my gauges still read wrong.
