I seen somewhere where someone sold a bracket to mount a tach over the radio without drilling the dash? Also I hooked my tach up yesterday to the green wire behind the alternator and it didn't work. Hooked it up to the green plug there with 2 wires and it started reading. I am not sure if thats the right place but it worked Thanks Daniel Ray

Follow the link in my sig and click on new products and look at the tach mount that uses the cig. lighter hole. No drilling out of the way and in a nice visiable position.

I have their tach mount. Looks real nice, but now I realize that I want a cig lighter for a computer.

then get an auxilary lighter from the parts store and install it below the radio pod out of the way. we have done that on a number of cars.

I am going to get one and run it throught the glove box that way it is out of the way and hidden. Not a big problem and looks real clean.

Thats where I seen it at before!!! Just couldn't remember. A price would be nice on it please Daniel Ray

I do not remember exactly what it cost but I think around 25. Hopefully he will chime in and let you know exactly?
Jeff

47 bucks is what he sent to me on email I think. I have a sheet metal brake so I just took a piece of flat aluminum and made myself one that mounts like phillyturbosix's tach. I took the surround off and bolted it on using a screw that was already there so I did NOT cut, drill, etc anything on my dash. Looks awesome and it didn't cost me anything to make it as I had plenty of the aluminum plate already. Its a good 1/8 in thick or so . This coming weekend I am going to make one for itsav6's car since it is up in my shop and he needs one for his as well. Daniel Ray :D

Do you have pictures of what you made for your car?

Ben

Not here at the house but I tell you what, I have to go up to the shop today anyway so I will snap you a few pics on my way to work and send them to you when I get home tonight if you want me to. What email address do you want me to send them to and I will shoot them out when I get home around 3am tonight so you can see them in the morning when you check your mail. Daniel Ray
