Tailshaft and Driveshaft?

I woke up with smiles on my face, knowing I would be back behind the wheel of my Buick today but thats not the case. The only thing changed in the previous setup was the addition of an HR trans mount, steel braided lines, new trans cooler and the trans of course. After we get everything bolted up, we go to install the driveshaft and it won't slide in no matter what I try do do. To prove I was not going crazy I went ahead and made sure the driveshaft went on the OLD trans with ease and it did. Now my question is, could the tailshaft be differnt on the new trans in comparison with the tailshaft on the old one? Just looking at them, I could not really see any difference. Do I have to get another yoke or am I not just sliding it in correctly?

I was just trying to get any feed back since this is a long weekend and I can't contact my builder until Tuesday.

The builder may have collapsed the bushing a little from driving it in a little crooked when he installed it.

The builder may have collapsed the bushing a little from driving it in a little crooked when he installed it.

If this is the case, does that mean that the trans has to go back to the builder? Or is it something I can do to correct it.
