Has anyone drilled and tapped our engine block or Intake manifold for another port mechanical temperature fitting ? Years back , I recall a fitting that replaced a softplug on GM blocks? It's a '84 hot air. Thanks-------Lockman

Never mind Ya'll .... I've got what I need to do . Thanks for Views, though. Out

Why in the world would you want a temp fitting there? The coolant doesn't start picking up any real heat until it gets to the heads. If you just want to see what that water is, you could always glue a probe to a freeze plug, sorta like a heat tab from a rebuilders.

Yeah, earlbrown.... I wasn't thinking to clearly when I posted that. I apologize to all. I just removed the idiot light sending unit in the Intake ( single green wire ) & installed my new sending unit there.

If you pulled the green one with a yellow stripe, you can use that for a manual hi-speed fan switch.
