TCC manual switch question

I use an OTC 4000 for a scan tool. under normal driving the TCC frame shows that it locks when it is supposed to. It says ON.

When I flip my manual switch, shouldn't it say ON on the scan tool then also.

Cause it isn't doing that. It never says ON when I use the switch until it gets to the parameter set by the chip.

What could I have done wrong, I ran a wire from the ALDL to a toggle and the other side of the toggle to a ground.

the computer only reads lockup when it commands it.also the ecm strategy doesnt read input and output speed and know its locked.this strategy is awesome and is now used on late model automatic transmissions,too late for the buicks ecm.
