I have a 2004r with 5000 miles on it. New GM d5 convertor. While driving 60 mph and accelerate, tcc starts to shudder. Tap the brake pedal to disengage tcc and the shudder stops. It has Dexron VI fluid. Fluid is pink. Should I be running an additive or different fluid? Or any other ideas?

If you truly think it's in the tranny dump a few bodles of "lube guard trans shudder fix". Shudder usually happens on the apply. So 45 mph should be the worst. Remember when locked up you have the most load in engine . So don't rule out engine miss to u know Forsure.

Its not on apply, it cruising and then accelerating just hard enough not to down shift. Ill check the plugs. It just doesn't feel hard enough for a misfire. I work on cars for a living. When Ford's misfire on tcc it shakes the trucks pretty bad. Ill try lube guard if everything looks ok.
