TCC with Mafless MER

I am locking torque convertor with a switch and it IS locking but TCC lite does not come on DS. Is this normal? Also pulling timing when TC locks but I believe this is done off MPH. Any and all replys welcome.

Any time you lock with a switch, the ECM has no idea, so it won't show up on DS. The timing is changing either by MPH or 3rd gear switch.
