I'm looking to get a new/rebuild tranny and don't want to spend a ton of $. Jegs has a Turbo Buick TCI 200-4R for $1269. I was wondering if anybody here ever used it and liked it? I want something that shifts pretty hard and I figured that TCI would have a TCI shift kit in it already.

I live within 20 miles of Level 10 in NJ and would love one of their tranny's but I don't want to spend $1900. Any suggestions?

I bought a 700R4 from Jegs.
It was junk and so was the one that warranty replaced. The warrantied one went bad at 32 days on a 30 day warranty, and they wouldn't replace it. So I was out the price of the tranny and 2 R+Rs.

I just so happen to have a Level 10, and in 3 years of beating on it, it still shifts as good as the day I got it. And I do mean beating on it.

I was in a super hurry and bought the TCI from Summit. Seemed like a good deal, dropped ship from the factory and quick delivery. Well it took a little longer and I had to pick it up at the trucking firm. The thing only worked for 6 months less than 3,000 miles. and when I had someone who knew what they were doing open it up, he pointed out all the wrong parts. You get what you pay for and maybe even sometimes less. I'm going to try my best never to get ripped off again.

I suggest going with Bruce or Chris on this board.

Bruce, I think that you and I are the only ones on this board that get "good stuff" from the "bad vendors" and "bad stuff" from the so called "good vendors".
Weird I say. ERIC.
