What's the "sweet" spot for these? I mean I have mine at 16-17 psi and the car doesn't seem to pull too hard. I mean it's quick but not as fast as I thought it would be. I have no knock most of the time but sometimes my 02 goes down to like low 700's and I get 3*. Doesn't happen all the time but I want to get a longer fuel gauge to test out the fuel pressure. But that's another topic ;). I have a lubrant chip, te60, 3" dp, high flow cat (gonna be gutted), hooker cat back, 009's, 9" K&N, tb coolant bypass etc. BLM's pegged at 128, o2 in the range of 778-820, fluctuates a LOT. TPS set correctly. When my boost controller comes I'm gonna put that on since the rod is turned all the way in and this is the most boost I can get, but where does this turbo really shine and what should my combo be worth as far as hp/tq and 1/4 times? I'm also building an alky kit for it. Thanks!

When you get the alky. or some high octane gas in there look for 24 pounds or up to 26 or so with that turbo.

You'll notice a difference. :)

Check your fuel delivery first of course.

I doubt you will be seeing more than 20hp over a stock turbo at 16/17 psi. boost.

No reason you shouldn't be able to hit 24 psi. boost safely with the alky. unless the chip has really high timing for some reason.

Yep, you'll notice a huge increase in power when you hit 23-24#. After 20# with a stocker, no difference could be felt/gained because it ran out of its efficiency range. As far as 16-17# with a TE60 compared to that of a stocker, the charge temps will be lower and hence the density of the air may be a little more. Sounds like you may need a bit more fuel added to the chip if you are in the 770-780s with pure 93 pump gas. With pump gas I don't like anything lower than 790-800mv O2 reading or I would get knock, but thats just my car, each one is a little different.
With alky or C116 gas, slowly crank up the boost and you'll feel a big difference, but watch the O2s as you do it....you may need another chip with even more fuel because at that boost you'll be maxxing the MAF and the fueling in the chip for PE is all you have no matter how much more boost you add, there will be no more fueling......time for a translator and extender or have a "race" chip for higher boost with more fueling and street chip for pump gas...or get the alky hooked up and crank up the alky some more :p

Thanks guys! I can't wait for all my alky stuff to get her so I can hook it up. Also the chip has 20* timing. I can just bump up the pressure on the regulator and I got higher o2's. So I'm low 800's now. Thanks guys!

I have a TE60 and alky. I run about 22lbs to 24lbs and it is very much improved from the stock turbo. I have all the basic bolt on stuff and I have 0 knock. I could probably crank it up a couple of more pounds. i have a turbo tweak chip running mild timing. If you get the fuel/alky you should be able to crank the boos up quite a bit from where you currently are. Enjoy the increase power. Good luck.
