Don't feel bad, and I'm sure you didn't offend anybody.

You listed on fle-bay for exactly the reasons I stated. Sell where you want for the amount that you want and don't feel bad about it.

Anybody looking for a turbo or any other part is looking on flea-bay as well as here if they are a member, but chances are you will reach more people on flea-bay.

Not all TR owners are members of this board.

I agree that most people will look both places when looking for a part they want but I tend to trust stuff posted on the board more than I do flea-bay. I feel like some one on the board has time and effort vested in these cars and should be more aware of what really works as well as a reputation to uphold. A lot of the time on the auction site people have something they know nothing about and are just trying to make a buck. When they think the part fits a Grand National then it is immediately worth 3X's the money. It doesn't matter if the part is also on every other G-body every made ( even if it actually doesn't fit a TR).

Of course it goes both ways. Some guys here think that just because it is for a TR then it is worth 3X's as much too. Some sellers are in it purely for the most profit while some sellers are happy with giving some one a fair deal. Bottom line is buyers want the best deal which is why people here search the bay hoping a reputable seller has what they need at a great price. Unfortunately most bay-ers do their research and it is hard to really find a deal anymore. The bay will reach more people but I think the people serious about their cars and therefore your target audience is here.

Do I buy from flea-bay? Absolutely. Are there people here that are not really above board? Definitely. All in all though I would tend to pay a little more for a part from someone here than I would from the bay.

I have had several buyers & sellers try to leave a positive for me here on the forum but could not seem to figure how. Does anybody know the formula so as to create a trading profile?
That seems to be an advantage for the e-bay shoppers!!

Yeah you guys all made very good points. I never sold anything on the board but I did buy a Precision FMIC from a board member and was very happy with it. He gave me a great deal..
