Is this rebuildable and can anyone confirm that it's a TE62.

I don't think it's salvageable but maybe it can be saved or is it even good for parts??

I know the wheels are junk, but are the housings useable?

Measure the compressor wheel. It is not a TE62. It has a P trim turbine. My guess is it is a TE63 (TE45).

Not a te62 and not rebuildable.

Could you tell me what it was before it's untimely death????

I would like to replace it with something that runs as good or better than that one did.

It was a decent turbo before it puked out.

It had thrust failure. It looks like a cast 63 compressor with a clipped p trim ex wheel. The fastest I've ever heard of anyone going with one is 10.0x. Plenty out there that will spool as fast or faster and support the same or more power.
