I have this big hole in the firewall where the heater used to be. The car came this way so I don't have the piece to draw out a template. Does anyone have a template so I can cut a piece of metal out for it?

Make your own template out of cardboard and then transfer it to aluminum or whatever you plan on using for firewall material. Works great!!

By the way how do you like your PTS tranny?

I did this once on a camaro. I went to a junkyard and cut out the area of the firewall that I needed. Then i dressed evrything up real good and riveted the new panel to the firewall. sealed it of course w/urethane under the panel before I riveted it to the firewall. Just a suggestion.

Rick, if you have any plans to be in the Columbus, OH area in an acceptable amount of time, I have a template.

I think it would be a lot more accurate if I had a template. It's kinda cumbersome shoving a piece of cardboard in there and not being able to draw behind it. I'll give it a try, I've done worse:D

My tranny is alive and well. I'd recomend anyone who needs a tranny to get it from Bruce. Can't speak about the other rebuilders but this one shifts hard and is holding up.

Scott, couldn't talk you in to sending it to me? I can Paypal or send you a check to cover your costs and time. Wish I would've asked before Morocco, I could've just looked you up there.

There is a place that makes them if you would rather go that route. The web site is www.crossmembers.com Go to the products page, and scroll down.

Thanks for the link but $90:eek: for a small piece of metal doesn't fit my budget right now.

I'll Paypal $5 to someone that can trace out what I need on a sheet of paper and mail it to me.
