Hi Guys,
Just feel like sharing a few events from the past week.
Sunday the 11th, I was working on my GN and my father calls with bad news. A good friend and car buddy was murdered along with his wife. I cannot believe it. Been in a fog ever since. Well I finally get the funeral out of the way yesterday and come home to relax. This is my 3rd funeral for someone who was murdered. He was a great guy. 51 years young and working on his 68 Chevy II when he was shot. His wife was a sunday school teacher and a really good women. Never a mean word to anyone ever.
My daughter comes home last night and wakes us up to tell us that my best buddy, my 23 pound tom cat, is not moving, just meowing. I go outside and he is dragging himself up the stairs with only his front legs. I rush him to the vet at 10:30 at night and she tells me he has had a blood clot block the main artery to his back legs and tail. He was put to rest today at noon.

They say GOD never gives you more than you can handle, well I got enough for now. I hope he is finished.

Thanks for listening.
Coach

"coach", I just read the horrible story about what happened to your friend and his wife...hope you'll pull through these tough times without too much pain...Take care of yourself and enjoy life while you can as we never know what lies next!

Claude.

P.S: My condolences for the loss of your friends and your cat...

That sucks Coach. Did they catch the people responsible yet? Prayers go out to your family and friends. At least they are in a better place now.

Sorry to hear this Coach. Hang in there. Hope they find the thugs that did that to your friends.

Thanks to all. I am feeling totally lost at the present time. My friend Tod and his wife have been on my mind constintly and now my best buddy is gone. It was every evening me and him hung out and snacked and played. He was totally awesome. I could set a clock by him. Every night at 3a.m. he had to go out. Back in at 5:30a.m. to eat and I go to work. He would wait on the porch for me at 2:30 and I had to pet him before I could get in the house. If I was in the garage, he was crashed on the floor. He was more like a dog than a cat. He was only 6. He should have lived another 10 years and I will miss him for that long and longer. I have had a lot of pets, but he was that unique and very special bond you only get once.

As for my friend and his wife, they have made an arrest. Locally it goes much deeper. People are saying that another guy is involved, but evidence is lacking right now. Both people involved have been a waste of flesh their entire lives. Tod and Laurie are gone and these dirtbags will probably get off because our small town police never investagate murders. Since this happened, 2 people just over the Ohio border were found the same way. They were a 61 year old couple. shot several times. Thats 4 people dead and the investagation is ongoing.
Here is a link to the story so far.

Thanks to all.:frown:

My thoughts are with you coach... this is not the kind of stuff I wanted to talk to you about at BPG this year :frown:

You people on this forum are tops. That is what makes cars such a great hobby. You cant meet good people if your hobby is drugs, or drinking, or robbing others of their lives or posessions. I thank each and everyone of you. I really hope to meet all of you this summer at some of the Buick events. We need to find a way to identify ourselves with our screen names. I want to thank all of you in person.

Hang in there Coach, remember, even if we cant handle what life gives us , God can! Lean on him, your faith, and your friends & family, they will pull you through. I hope to meet you some day, we seem to have the same interests. Take care of yourself!

If your car looks anything like the one on your page, we have a ton in common. I want to meet each member someday. BadassGN and I meet at BPG 2 years ago and for that 1 evening, we had a blast. I try to get along with everyone.

Sorry to hear about your friends and your cat/dog. Had a unique cat (buddy) that followed me everywhere. Lost him after 10 years 4 years ago. I wouldn't get another cat, then one showed up on top of my GN 2 years later. Both were black, so it was a little creepy seeing this black cat hanging out on my car. We'll "Big Dog" is even more of a dog than the last cat and hangs with me inside or out. Point is, go find another cat-dog and give him the life u blessed the other cat for several years.

Big Dog...

Coach--

Donnie if I may use that,

We do not understand this world we live in, and why people do some of the evil things they do.

Just take a moment to remember your friendship with those people and use that to motivate you to live life to it's fullest and cherish every moment you have.

I am so sorry for your losses,

Take care and be strong!

Ty

Dude......that's one spooky looking cat in the first pic.

Yeah, he's built like a brick ****house. 16lbs of pure muscle, crooked ear from fighting with neighborhood dogs, and a smashed in face. I think its a purebread bombay.

Point of my pictures is not to wait around for a couple of years to replace your loved one.

This forum makes it feel like you good people are my neighbors, not scattered around the world in some cases. I still have my little gray buddy named Diesel. He has purred for 5 straight years, thats how he got his name. Even as a kitten, his purr was so loud, you could hear it across a room. He is in mourning as much as I am. Patchs was his brother and they did everything together. I am trying to get focused so I can finish my car. I know a really nice ride would clear my head, but I have a bit of work ahead of me to get it back together.

I thank you all.
