Test Pipe Questions

This is probably a stupid question but I was wondering if the test pipes for the GN and TTA are the same??? I was bidding on ebay for one and lost around $60 but now I see a bunch advertised for GN's for $20 or $30.
What about test pipes with a dump tube, do they make a difference??

If you have a choked exhaust the dumptube is great. Otherwise you wont see much gain.
