So I have a huge leak where my exhaust meets my dump pipe. It's always leaked a little but now it's out of control. It looks like the flange on my Mease dump pipe is bent up. I tried to file it down and seal it with some Copper form-a-gasket but the hole is too huge.

Who makes 'test pipes' anymore? I can't seem to find any. I don't need a dump - I never use the one I've got.

Or should I have someone weld a new flange on my Mease pipe?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for the reply. It turns out G-body Parts does have one, but 'test pipe' is not the right search term to use. I ordered one from him.

Now the question is: is there a trick in getting a crimped-on test pipe off without destroying it. Or is it not possible?

I use a stainless 3" band clamp on my gutted cat where it meets the downpipe so it's nice and easy to take on and off.

I did too but it didn't provide enough clamping force to keep my 3" dual system from rotating out of place. I have a couple extra 3" band clamps in the basement - maybe I'll give it another shot with the new pipe.

I have the same problem, my fit there is a little loose too. I was just on the summit racing site and found this 3" stainless band clamp, it is called a "lap joint" band clamp, designed to seal up pipes of different diameter going inside one another.Summit Racing - High Performance Car and Truck Parts | 800-230-3030 part #wlk-33272 $13.99

Thanks for that. I think that's what I have in the basement. Just need to find them. I know I have 2, just not sure where.
